I can’t find the exact words to describe how I’m feeling.

It’s midnight and if I look out my window I can see the specks of light forming constellations in the sky for generations to find and I wonder if you’re thinking about the same thing.
We used to talk about stars and nature and crazy dreams and wishes. When I talked to you I felt like my heart skipped beats in between the words you whispered in my ear the night when you first truly held me.
I made a mistake and now it’s over and done. I can’t take it back. In life you receive many tests and you learn new things from them and I learned something when I left you because of my fear.
Don’t ever let someone who means the world to you go.
And no matter how hard it’ll be I have to move on.
